Something to know about drugs.

Otherwise known as Spirits. 

Man is inventing spirits.

To skirt the law, when in fact, these natural commodities are meant to be used to improve our lives.

Inventing spirits and inviting them into our own bodies, because natural and pure drugs are unavailable.

Spirits are nothing to play with. When it comes to my spirit, I will not just invite anything into my consciousness.

Without risk, no. Understanding these 6 categories of spirits will change our view on drugs entirely.

Once people's needs are met, people want to feel the positive effects of elation on demand. Performance, Confidence, abilities, relaxation, bodily regulation, are all attractions to healthy use of drugs. Bodily harm, dependance, addiction, losing our loved ones, all for the desires of self through our wants.

Not literally about alcohol:

While the term "sober-minded" does refer to being free from the effects of alcohol, in these verses it also signifies freedom from the intoxicating influences of the world, including worldly desires, temptations, and deceptive thoughts. 

Clarity of thought and self-control:

Being sober-minded means having a clear mind, able to discern truth from falsehood, and resisting the temptation to be swayed by worldly desires or negative influences. 

Spiritual vigilance:

The call to be sober-minded is often linked with being watchful and alert to the schemes of the devil. It means being aware of spiritual dangers and resisting them by standing firm in faith. 

Focus on God's will:

Sober-mindedness enables believers to focus on God's will and purpose, rather than being distracted by worldly pursuits. 

Examples in Scripture:

Besides 1 Peter 5:8, other verses that emphasize sober-mindedness include: 

1 Peter 1:13: "...preparing your minds for action, and being sober-minded..." 

2 Timothy 4:5: "But as for you, always be sober-minded, endure suffering, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry." 

Titus 2:2, 6: These verses speak of older men and women being sober-minded, dignified, self-controlled, and sound in faith, love, and steadfastness. 

1 Thessalonians 5:6-8: Paul urges believers to be alert and self-controlled, living as children of the light, not sleeping like others do, but being sober.

In essence, being sober-minded is a call to live with spiritual discernment, self-control, and a clear focus on God's purpose, resisting the deceptive influences of the world and the devil.
